Each year, The Ebell Institute (TEI) brings together the women leading Los Angeles — in culture, civics, architecture, and beyond — for a day of conversation and ideas. This summer, for the first time, that stage belongs to teenagers.

High school interns from the LA County Bloomberg Arts Internship Program — a partnership between Bloomberg Philanthropies and the LA County Department of Arts and Culture — have spent their internship on The Ebell's historic campus. Working alongside Ebell staff, they curated, produced, and built this event from the ground up: visual art, performance, photography, and presentations from LA teens, all answering one question — how have women, and those expanding what womanhood means,

shaped the past, present, or future of Los Angeles?

Join us August 5 in our historic Art Salon for the results — the first Teen TEI Symposium & Showcase, and a glimpse of what The Ebell Institute looks like in the hands of the next generation. Beverages and cookies provided; free and open to the public.‍
