“ORIGINS of Hip Hop” is a 60-minute interactive performance that pays homage to the evolution of Hip Hop through African and Latin social dances, the 1970s Funk Era, to today. Versa-Style's company members will perform high energy dance pieces that educate and inspire, as well as tell the stories of the history of various Street Dance styles such as popping, locking, whacking, and Hip Hop. Audiences will also learn about the dancers' life stories and how they came to be in the company. The performance will end by inviting audiences to stand in their seats and learn some moves with artists on stage.
