Charter Day: A Place of Our Own - Women, Power, & The Building of The Ebell
Monday, October 26, 2026
4:00 PM - 7:30 PM

What did it mean in the 1920s for women to create, finance, and control an institution of this size, one designed around their intellectual, cultural, and civic lives?

In celebration of Charter Day, The Ebell of Los Angeles invites you to explore this legacy through a special exhibition featuring our historic costume, art, and archive collections. Rare garments, photographs, and artifacts tell the story of the women who built this institution from the ground up, and special guest speakers will join us to speak in depth about the collections and the history behind them.

Come celebrate a century of vision, ambition, and the enduring power of women building institutions on their own terms.

Dinner generously underwritten by member Jill Scheetz.

Join us as we celebrate Charter Day during the rescheduled October Confab.
